Simple, novel and efficiient way to handle municipal waste |

Municipal waste is a big problem in the third world country like India. The waste consists mainly of kitchen wastes from households, papers, polythene bags and other plastic materials. This also includes leaves and other biodegradable materials from garden. The problem is most often both biodegradable and non-degradable wastes are mixed together.
Poor clearance by the local authorities especially in suburban areas become a cause of worries to the residents. Though the residents are responsible partly, they either do not want to take great troubles or do not really know how to do this. Even welfare associations do not know how to tackle this.
The possible solution should be fairly simple and at the same time be somewhat rewarding so that interest is created in taking up this. The cost should be worked out carefully considering the economic status of countries such as India or Africa.
