Increase Income equality

As evidenced in the more than 200 studies compiled in "The Spirit Level, why Equality is better for everyone" by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Picket, a substantial number of social problems are linked to income equality. Greater income equality in rich countries significantly reduces mental illness and related drug abuse, child mortality, school dropout, teenage pregnancies, violent crime and prison populations, and increases social mobility, levels of trust, school results and life expectancy - for all parts of the population (including rich people).

The challenge is therefore to find ways to increase income equality.
