It is, in large part, up to those that do have disabilities to demonstrate that they can lead healthy, fulfilling, even high-powered lives while still physically or mentally impaired. It is up to them to point out that their wheelchairs "enable" rather than "confine" and that their walkers, rather than forcing them to age before their time, actually allow them to continue to live vital, active lives in safety. One person at a time can change the public's view of disability.
