Ammonia neutralizer

One of odouring substances that amount grows over time is ammonia. It can be dealt with just by citric acid. 20g of citric acid spilled on the bottom of the box befote filling it neutralizes ammonia and bacteria.

Would you happen to know if cats would be willing to do their business with such a citric smell beneath them? As I know, cats are very wary on their litterbox's odour.
