Innovative Solution for:

Lack of peace for Israel, Palestine, Gaza, West Bank

One Step at a Time

1) In order to get Hamas to agree to a cease fire, Israel will say it will allow Palestinians to live in Israel and give them Israeli citizenship.

Once the cease fire is reached:

2) The process of giving Israeli citizenship to Palestinians will take a long time, perhaps 100 years or more. I suggest we start by giving Israeli citizenship to Palestinians that are 2nd generation Americans or Canadians. As this group has been westernized, they will adapt to living in Israel quicker than Palestinians living Gaza would, and the Israeli people would have an easier time accepting them.
Hamas will complain this process is too slow. To that I would respond "Even if you do win an armed conflict, how long would it take? 200 years? And how many lives would be lost? My method is slow, but any other method would be slower and cost more lives"

To the Israeli's: the presence of Palestinians in Israel proper will dissuade Hamas from shooting rockets, as there is a larger chance of hitting their own people.

3) Hamas should invite Israeli's to live in Gaza. It is well known that the Islamic community treats their guests with the highest respect and dignity, and any Israeli invited to live there would be safe from any attack.
This would also prevent Israel from being able to bomb, as there would be a significant chance of hitting their own people.

4) For both steps two and three, individuals chosen to live in the other community would have to undergo a psychological evaluation to make sure they are ready for this. The people chosen for this should be outgoing, kind, and have no record of any suspicious activity.

5) As it stands right now, even with out a physical wall, the interactions between Palestinians and Israeli's is few a far between. One of the main points of this endeavor is to get Israeli's and Palestinians to interact with each other, in hopes that doing so will allow both sides to see the other-side's humanity.
This said, the process of moving individuals has to be done slowly or cliques of Palestinians will form in Israel, and cliques of Israeli's will form in Gaza, and the two groups will not interact.
