Injection Could Cure Alzeimers

Some scientists believe an injection of Etanercept could be an immediate cure. This is not a new drug--it has not been used for arthritis. This drug reduces inflammation in the joints. Researchers in California did a trial in which they injected it between the cervical vertebrae at the back of the neck, just below the skull, directly into the spinal column. The research suggests that Etanercept reduces swelling in the brain, just it at reduces swelling in the joints. The reduced swelling in the brain seems to preserve brain function.
