Hazing is a tough cookie to crack, as in some form it has been with civilization for a very long time. This is really a parental issue, in that parents must raise children who are smart enough to walk away from hazing or at the very least walk away from it the second it goes beyond the mundane. The real problem is that many parents don't see any problem with hazing and feel that it is part of a passage. As long as this continues, hazing will continue. One potential solution is a campaign designed to change the opinions of parents with school aged children. Again, this is a tough problem as it is wrapping itself in the flag of tradition.
