Conflict of Unions to management

This problem has been on going with management and union for years. Since the formation of the union (especially automotive), all parties have been at odds with each other. It's a different mentality. Today's global environment puts tremendous pressure to change the business model by both union and companies. The current situation, the old business model cannot compete. But, the mentality and the "Us vs Them" has to be changed. To truly bridge the gap between labor union and company, there must be a ownership involved.

Proposed: The union as a whole take a percentage of ownership of the company in stocks. Each individual member's salary is based on performance and bonus given out in company stock. This will create a bridge and allow labor to realize they are not just menial workers, but owners of the company.
