Store Nuclear and Toxic Waste in Space

Due to decay rates that extend to thousands of years, nuclear waste poses a significant risk no matter where it is stored. However, the use of increasingly safe space vehicles provides an opportunity for this waste to be stored in space. While the cost is currently prohibitive, it is speculated that the increased demand for space flight generated by the need for storage of nuclear and toxic waste would ultimately reduce the costs associated with launching payloads into space.

First of all the worst idea of all is storing it on the ground like in Spain and the UK. Most of the waste will be harmful to human health for 100,000 years which is more than our current human histor..

If there were a mission to launch nuclear waste into space I would prefer the mission be first tested using tanks of water or dirt of the same capacity and weight using advanced technology like sensor..
