Set the rules from the beginning and communicate group punishment for inappropriate behaviour
The rules of the do's and the dont's have to be communicated clearly from the beginning of every school year. The punishment for inappropriate behaviour has to influence the whole class. The social acceptance of the F word forexample within classes has to change by putting pressure on individual pupils with the help of the class. If the whole class is punished for bad behaviour pupils will put pressure on their fellow pupils to change their attitude. In the beginning it will be hard but there is a form of injustice in a collective punishment but if teachers miss respect the whole class has to be transformed and every participating pupil has to understand that he or she is also responsible for the atmosphere in a classroom. The actual system offers pupils to approve situations by not reacting on forms of aggressions. If they are part of the problem they have to participate in correcting fellow students.
