Known Solution for:

Disruption of financial markets

Financial Market Regulating Body Initiative

Securities and Exchange Commission or other financial market regulating body should impose restriction on short-term buy/sell transactions. Investors would consider their long-term reward instead of based on quarterly earnings report and most importantly company management would have less incentive to reap enormous compensation based on stock price and focus on long-term growth instead.

The market will stabilize with the trade-off of high-growth companies having less reward for their performance. But smaller firms will have the opportunity to innovate and grow given less resources at their disposal.
