Known Solution for:

Locust epidemic in the near future

Locust Control

It has been observed in some East African countries (Uganda...) not far from the sea that huge flights of Gulls gather and feed on locusts in flight and even eventually reach far inland for the feast.
This brings about a boon after a blight as Gulls spread guano while feeding in flight, thus spreading it widely over the threatened area.
Hence, some natural pest control is followed by natural prime quality re-fertilization.

The idea here would be to find a signal (sound ?) to attract the gulls or bring them in by other means ( bread for the purpose, like bees for pollination ) while the locusts are still on the ground just before their previsible take-off.
