Radioactive fuel rods can be stored safely in Zeolite. or buried in a sand block in the ground then a high current is run through it turning it a solid block of glass encasing the spent fuel rods This was done at Maralinga in Australia after nuclear testing was done during the War.

Why not use cng or Lng to run your vehicles or natural gas , simple to store, using a reformer and a fuel cell .If the fuel cells are mass produced the price should come down ,making this a viable pr..
