Many innovative companies have developed efficient 12v LED lighting technologies that are cost effective. I think that one problem is that new home builders and consumers are not educated enough about these new products. If there is not already one a consortium within the industry should be formed in order to put together informative marketing material that will educate on the ease of installation and use of a 12v lighting system within the home. Further efforts could be put forward to educate potential new home buyers by advertising through online mortgage companies such as Lendingtree.com.
