In New Orleans, over 90 community groups, including five labor unions, formed a coalition. They mobilized over 100 volunteers to show opposition to corporate ownership of water. They did lawn sign displays, car caravans and rallies. The coalition persuaded the Board of Directors to reject all bids from multinational corporations.
