Groups exist that share cars. Somewhat like a car library, a car is borrowed and returned. Cars are used by a minimum of 4 at a time so that cuts 3 cars off the road. Trips are coordinated on line so you match up with folks going to the same area of town. Gas costs are shared among riders.
