Known Solution for:

Chemical contamination of seeds

Domestically Available Fertilizers

Chemical contamination of seeds is primarily attributed to use of chemical fertilizers that might get penetrated into seed-shell. This contamination may lead to poor plant growth, and ultimately making it inadequate for intake by human beings. In order to avoid such penetration, it is advisable to use fertilizers that are available domestically. These are broadly termed as bio-fertilizers, and usually produce desirable results in a cost-effective manner. Animal dung, decayed plants and organic wastes, human excreta, etc, together form rich source of nutrients for crops. Most of the eco-friendly farming techniques involve installing pits in farm-fields, in which these bio-fertilizers are accumulated and mixed, and subsequently applied to farm fields.
