Known Solution for:

Chemical contamination of seeds

Insectary Planting

Modern pesticides have also turned out to be a major cause for chemical contamination of seeds. Pesticides are used to keep a sound check over the attack of pests on farm fields. But, during its course, these chemical pesticides leach into seeds, and affect the innate immunity of the plants to a large extent. However, this contamination of seeds can be regulated by employing biological control over farm fields, by planting beneficial insectary plants. The technique includes sowing flowering plants along with the crops that contain the huge resources of pollen and nectar, to invite beneficial insects on to the field. These insects are usually enemies of the insect pests, which biologically counter the development of destructive pests.
