Magic = Imagination / Knowledge

Imagination is more important than knowledge…
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
-Albert Einstein

Disney, Einstein, Franklin, DaVinci… these guys loved life.

They believed that “knowing” killed their sense of magic and that imagination was the key to a life of joy and fulfillment. Yes, they learned, they learned a lot, but learning was not about knowing, it was about discovery.

The path to discovery is paved with imagination.

Knowledge and certainty block your sense of magic. They hinder imagination and they keep you from exploring and learning. Consider the things you know for sure… which ones have you known for a long time? When was the last time you learned anything new about that which you already know? Knowledge may be the ultimate limiting belief.

Knowledge is useful, for sure... but it isn’t magic. Nobody created something new with knowledge alone. It took imagination.

It was no mistake that Walt Disney renamed his engineers – “Imagineers”.

If you want an infinite sense of magic… imagine more… and know less.
