Dr. Deependra Moitra
Deependra Moitra, Ph.D., is a management consultant, focusing on helping companies leverage global innovation for business competitiveness. He has extensively advised senior management teams at leading multinational companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia on their global innovation strategy, and worked with them to effectively exploit global innovation for profitable business growth. He is a frequent speaker at major industry forums and international conferences, and also serves on the advisory boards of numerous high tech start-ups.
An internationally recognized authority on global innovation management, Dr. Moitra brings a unique combination of senior management experience and real-world research to Straxium’s Expert Council. He has two decades of experience in building and leading global organizations, managing multi-country, multi-cultural global R&D footprints, and leading product as well as service innovation. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Dr. Moitra has held senior management positions with Infosys Technologies and Lucent Technologies.Dr. Moitra is an Adjunct Professor of Business Administration at the City University of Hong Kong and regularly teaches senior management professionals at leading business schools in India and around the world. He has many publications to his credit, including two books, and serves on the editorial boards of several leading international journals. He received a B.Tech. degree with high honors from the University of Calicut and earned his Ph.D. in the area of global innovation management from the Rotterdam School of Management.
