Self-tensioning Structure for Composite-material Bridges

Self-tensioning structure for composite-material bridges, for bridges, footbridges, or other elements spanning a gap, that comprises a framework (E) of tension members, a panel (T) and supporting members or posts (P), the framework (E) comprising a variable number of laminar elements of composite material, preferably (FRP), forming a three-dimensionally hyperstatic structure of 9+6n elements or of 4+6n elements, joined to each other and to supports made up of the posts (P), and whose external dimensions are delimited by the length of the bridge and the gaps between the supports, which are preferably glued together, and tensioned by controlling the lengths in the assembly and the tension attributable to the transmission of its own weight.
