A method for enhancing the pathogenicity of bacterial strains of the genus Bacillus, which comprises exposing the strain to temperatures below ambient temperature or other situations of stress, a composition of bacterial strains obtained by said method and the use of said composition in the biological control of the Ceratitis capitata pest are described.
