Active Wound Healing Film for Eardrum Perforations

The invention relates to a film for closing a perforation of the eardrum, which comprises a positioning element, which is disposed in the outer ear channel, and a closure element, which consists of a flexible material, which can be resorbed, wherein said closure element is implemented as a spiral at least in its interior and contains micro-cavities and an electrode array on the side in contact with the eardrum. The object of the invention is also a method for closing a perforation of the eardrum, in which the closure element of the film is disposed proximal to the eardrum and is fixed on the eardrum from the inside, and the cell proliferation is stimulated and also the course of healing is monitored by sensory analysis of the wound secretion using the electrode array.
