I love to do bread toasting for my family, and my son loves to dip them in tomato soup which he digs with gusto. Breakfast at our family table is never complete, son always reminds me, without toast bread for his beloved soup, and I agree.
But how much electricity do we spend toasting bread? I reckon it could be a lot because Morphy Richards wouldn’t have spent their time or precious dime trying to make us eat greener bread toasts. That is, at least, when it comes to energy efficiency, and the Ecolectric 2 Slice Toaster, we are assured, is able to use 34% less electricity than conventional toasters.
From the Morphy Richards website:
The toaster that not only does a good job…
Evenly browned and just the way you like it – there’s nothing like great toast. You’ll get it quicker too, thanks to the unique auto-close lid that keeps the heat around the toast, which means less waiting around. …it helps you do your bit to save the planet
Better still, by keeping the heat in, that same innovative feature – the lid – helps our ecolectric toaster use 34% less energy. So you can enjoy your breakfast without eating up valuable resources.
It boasts of a specially integrated lid that automatically closes during the toasting process, in effect shortening the time needed to make your toast hence saving energy. Regardless of whether it could truly save energy or not, at least the toaster comes in a recycled and 100 percent recyclable packaging, and retails at under CA$ 66.
