Call for Innovation Writers

May 9, 2011 By Aminda

The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) is developing a series of books and other print material on innovation that will utilize principles of open access to distribute the material in as free and open a manner as possible.

According to the website, “EAI publications utilize novel collaborative concepts to achieve shorter “time to market” with higher-review-quality publications, while providing a significantly increased impact by utilizing web technologies to obtain massively-connected diffusion systems.”

Books published in the series are released under liberal copyright licenses like those used in open access journals, with electronic copies being available free of charge and print copies being purchasable at minimal cost. Instead of charging for access, the production and startup costs are met upfront by the editors’ or authors’ funding agency.

The EAI product line includes magazines, journals and books on topics from Strategy to Engineering for Innovation. The Alliance seeks proposals for work, preferably those with individual chapters contributed by diverse individuals or groups.

Based in Belgium, and headed by a diverse team of business leaders, the EAI’s mission is to drive innovation in emerging information and communication technology (ICT) enabled areas by decreasing fragmentation between key participants in the innovation cycle and by facilitating communication, engagement and collaboration from the grassroots. Individuals and Organizations interested in the promotion of innovation in Europe through member activities and professional development can join EAI for free.
