Call to Participate in Open Innovation Mapping Project

December 21, 2010 By Aminda

French consulting firm Bluenove recently launched an open innovation map, a platform designed to visualize key players in the field of Open Innovation as well as new creative ecosystems and multi-industry companies on a global scale.
The project aims to consolidate OI players and highlight their projects and initiatives. The UGC (User-Generated Content) feature enables users to join OIM database by subscribing to the project, and then create a network with other participants. OIM database is presented in two views: the map geolocating key players in open innovation (startups, developers, experts, clusters, public/private research laboratories etc.) and the catalog including detailed information about each mapped player.

The map contributes to the understanding of the Open Innovation ecosystem and dynamics through the analysis of data of 3 categories of players (the Ideators, the Scouts and the Open Innovators).

The Ideators (Startup, developer, researcher, etc.) can now promote themselves to Open Innovators in order to develop partnerships and collaborations. Ideators can also get support from Scouts.

The Scouts (VC, Business Angel, cluster, conference, journalist, etc.) can now promote the Ideators they are already supporting or they have detected, and also detect new ones.

The Open Innovators (R&D or Innovation departments from major corporations, Corporate Partnership Programs, etc.) can now promote their Open Innovation strategy and their current partnerships with Ideators and also detect new ones. They can also get support from Scouts.

If you fall into any of these categories, register on the site to network with thousands of OI players around the world. The initiative is in the Beta phase of its development and users are invited to provide feedback that will help improve the platform. Contact Bluenove [email protected]
