The Caped Crusader Turns to the Crowd for Help

January 22, 2013 By IdeaConnection

Dark_Knight_Rises“Holy innovative way to raise money, Batman!” – as the caped crusader’s sidekick might say.

A team of Bat-fans want to create a web series, The Batman Chronicles and are asking the crowd for help to raise funds for the non-profit project.

The series will stay true to the dark and gritty nature of the comic books. Stories will feature a young Bruce Wayne struggling with guilt over the murder of his parents and the creation of ‘Batman’ as a form of atonement.

The team behind the project are all diehard Batman fans and believe there is still much to say and many more rich stories to tell than has already been seen in other films.

To the Bat Cave!

The team needs $15,000 to get the web series up and running. The money is for multiple episodes and will cover expenses such as visual effects, props, stunt coordinators, equipment rental, set dressing, permits, transport to and from locations, and Batman’s trademark car.

For those willing and able to provide financial backing there are a number of perks including a mention in the credits, digital downloads of episodes, autographed pictures, DVDs, an even a producer credit for larger donations.

At the time of writing this post there are 28 days left to fund the project, and so far $6, 661 has been raised.
