New Synthetic Route for the Synthesis of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers

New Synthetic Route for the Synthesis of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers Deadline: 2019-01-06
Award: $40,000
Open to: Everyone*

The goal is to find a scalable synthetic route for the production of amphiphilic block copolymers free of phosphorous- or sulfur-containing compounds and/or impurities, halides, or metals.

All those with a synthetic chemistry backgrounds and experience to propose and/or develop a synthetic route and process that can achieve the challenging requirements are invited to compete.

This is a Reduction-to-Practice Challenge that requires written documentation, experimental proof-of-concept data and, if requested by the Seeker, sample delivery.

The submission to the Challenge should include the following:

- The detailed description of the proposed Solution addressing specific Solution Requirements presented in the Detailed Description of the Challenge. This description should be accompanied by a well-articulated rationale supported by literature/patent precedents.

- Experimental proof-of-concept data obtained as outlined in the Detailed Description of the Challenge (and/or delivery of a material sample if requested by the Seeker).

* Details may apply. See contest website to confirm eligibility.
