Keep Home Invaders Away with DNA

Keep Home Invaders Away with DNA During the development of this product when establishing a forensic trace evacuation method I stumbled across another idea which can best be described as the re-invention of the door security chain and is called Chain Reaction DNA.

I have established another company StranDNA UK Limited to undertake the role of professional installation & data-basing of the forensic element evacuated when the device is attacked.

Both these products only activate when a definitive illegal action is taken against them! For example an individual using excessive force to gain unlawful entry into a home when committing a burglary, forced entry or home invasion.

If an arrest is made and a suspect illuminates BLUE under a UV arch, they have been attempting to force entry past one of these unique door security devices and we can definitively provide the location of what door at a specific residential address they have attempted to force unlawful entry through.

If you have heard of Smartwater or SelectaDNA asset marking technologies well our devices provide the same type of forensic marker but we DO NOT asset mark we perpetrator mark.

Forensic based security devices presently cater for the commercial sector, offices, banks, retail outlets and warehousing facilities used as as proactive burglary or robbery deterrents; the same technology is also used for property marking in a domestic consumer product.

I have invented and developed door security products that can utilize this UV based DNA trace technology that will only be evacuated when an attempt is made by a caller to force un-lawful entry through a door in a residential environment.

My life changed forever on the 31st July 1998. Up until this time I was a self employed mobile communications technician and was responsible for the installation of all types of communication and data systems installed into land and marine based vehicles (car-phone fitter)

Whilst traveling home from work I was involved a serious road traffic accident which left me with a total and permanent disability. Due to the nature of the injury I was unable to sit or stand for prolonged periods and advised to remain in a laying down position.

It was whilst watching a UK Police drama, the scene depicted an elderly lady answering a call at her front door, on approaching the front door she did what all crime reduction officers and neighbourhood watch representatives tell you to do and securely fastened her door security chain to check the identity of the caller.

On opening the front door with one swift kick the fixings were ripped from the frame of the door and the caller became an intruder. The rest of the programme was dedicated in trying to establish the identity of the attacker........

It was at this point I realized how ineffective the normal door security chain was against a determined attack and started to think of a better alternative.

I have invented and patented a proactive automatic access control device, called The Simpson Security System this can best be described as an automatic door limiter.

An automatic door security system that prevents unauthorized home penetration through the front/rear door. The system outlined at conception entailed blocking of the door to allow occupants to identify callers, however it soon became apparent that the system could do a lot more. Once the system has been activated, a very strong metal arm is moved into place to restrict door movement.

This is the primary function of the unit, however when the system determines that it is under serious attack a number of steps are taken to force the attacker to think again. The first thing an attacker will notice is a loud siren and flashing lights, making all neighbours aware that there is a problem. If this does not stop the attacker then a further set of steps will be taken. The first step will be a spray system covering the attacker with a liquid that only shows up under ultraviolet light, and contains a liquid fingerprint allowing the police to place the criminal at the scene of the attack. The system can also be configured to contact the local police monitoring station and alert them of a serious attack.

The system can also be fitted with video surveillance equipment, allowing the police to have clear video evidence of the attack.

So the Simpson Security System is stronger than a door chain, and can take substantial offensive steps against the attackers. With all this extra strength, is there not a problem with occupants trying to exit the premises in the event of a fire, is one question the company has been asked many times. With current door chains, people are putting them on over night, as an extra level of security. However, with the Simpson Security System, in the event of a fire the system will be able to enter a full reset, or dead state, to allow occupants to exit or allow fire departments to enter the premises unhindered. The system does this by including in the system two or more wireless smoke detectors, that not only sound sirens to warn occupants of a fire but also send a signal to the system allowing it to take appropriate action.

The system design is modular in approach, allowing a range of products to be developed, to cover a wide-ranging market. At the start, the product is aimed at the elderly or vulnerable members of society, however a wider market exists. Any house with children, people who cannot or do not use a door chain, can benefit from this system. A product similar in conception and widely available is a door chain, but in reality they are totally different.

The first immediate benefit is the unique level of automation featured within the system. Although it is able to sense its current situation and make decisions based on readings, the system never forgets to "put the chain on". The interaction between the user and the system is seamless; anyone of any age or technical background can use it. The reaction of such a system to violent attack has never been witnessed before, the dual-stage alarm feature will reduce false alarms, controlling the deployment of visual and audible defence mechanisms, and uniquely using a marking liquid in a domestic consumer product.

The main advantage of this system is the op-out only operation, making sure people do not forget to check the identity of a caller before allowing them access to their homes. Taking into account the system's inherent strength, the company and police crime prevention officers throughout the UK believe that it will reduce such crimes as forced entry, home invasion, bogus callers and distraction/aggravated burglaries, and ease the fear associated with such crimes.

The Simpson Security System has been patented globally but requires a small amount of development for commercial availability with this in mind RDS Innovations Limited is seeking forward thinking organizations or individuals who can realize the potential of these products on a global scale and would seek the license the IPR under their own direction and name.

Chain Reaction has been licensed for manufacture with another license established with StranDNA (UK) Limited regarding professional installation and forensic component registration.

How does CHAIN REACTION DNA® work?

· CHAIN REACTION DNA intruder alarm is professionally installed here in the UK by an industry approved or CRB vetted Police Officer/locksmith/Alarm Fitter unobtrusively to the inside of a door and provides extra resistance to forced entry.

· If the door is forced open, either when locked or ajar on the chain, CHAIN REACTION DNA sounds a high decibel alarm to scare intruders away and to alert neighbours and passers-by.

· CHAIN REACTION DNA simultaneously sprays the intruder’s clothes and skin with an invisible UV BASED DNA TRACE forensic marker to which the unique code is registered, through our installation database to a home by a security professional.

· POLICE can screen criminals through the use of hand-held UV torches and after forensic examination, establish the unique DNA CODE found on clothes or skin and then track the criminal back to that home using a StranDNA installations data-base.

· CHAIN REACTION DNA gives the POLICE the ability to identify the individual marked as being responsible for the unlawful attempt on that home, contributing valuable forensic evidence which can be used in a court of law.
