- I will give you an experience of a raped client I have once assisted before. I once worked for a police complaints line.
The caller called to report a rape case and she was the victim and she was furious; confused; angry and crying.
I calmed her down first; for me to be able to listen and understand her complaint. I sympathized and empathized with her. I probed for more information that was needed for police investigations. I made her understand that she is not alone. I told her that the police will be coming to her house because I gave a note to my team leader to call the police because it was an emergency. I took all her detail that assisted the police to locate her. I stayed on the line with her till the police arrived. Then logged a call and gave her a reference number for her call but I did that the next day since she was not in her senses.
