I am passionate about science and the scientific method, especially in utilising this knowledge to solve real-world problems. To do this I use an imaginative and multidisciplinary approach to problem solving, based on a solid foundation and understanding of the science involved.
I have researched, invented and patented cell separation and analysis technologies for water, food and clinical applications and have undertaken industrial consultancy work over 30 years.
My areas of specialist knowledge are microbiology, biotechnology, cell separation, cell analysis, biodegradation and bioremediation. I have a broader knowledge of the biological and chemical sciences within the context of medicine and public health.
