Chris Thompson's Problem Solving Experience:

Recently I noticed the accountancy firm I worked for had a tendency to bill its clients either the full amount owed or in 3 quite large breakdowns. This could be potentially damaging to the working capital of some clients during these difficult credit starved times. My idea was for the firm to offer its clients the option of paying by monthly standing order thus breaking the large sums owed down into manageable monthly payments. This makes payment easier in terms of the client's cash situation and ensures regular payment for the work the firm performed, thereby solving two large issues many companies have struggled with during the recession.
