Harrys Kishore Charles Jacob

Harrys Kishore Charles Jacob I am a graduate student in a joint PhD program with the Institute of Bioinformatics in Bangalore and Manipal University, Manipal investigating cell signaling pathways in lung adenocarcinoma especially in resistant cell lines using high throughput quantitative proteomic strategies. I have done part of my research training at the Institute of Genetic Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD and the Varmus lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYC, NYC in advanced quantitative proteomic and genomic strategies. I am completing his PhD and hope to graduate by this September. I am also involved in studies on understanding several cancers such as those of the esophagus and stomach as well an in understanding signaling pathways from a genomic and proteomic point of view in view of problem solving in better understanding aberrant signaling pathways in cancers.

Innovation and research have always been my interest with an academic career investigating cancers where we could identify several novel biomarkers in esophageal and gastric cancer and also we have identified more recently several novel signaling molecules in the EGFR cascade on drug treatment in lung cancer cells.
