2008 – 2009 The University of Edinburgh: MSc Drug Discovery and Translational Biology. Merit Pass (Upper 2:1 equiv.) Conducted a 4-month long research project on the role of Methyl Binding Proteins in cancer at a state-of-the-art cancer research laboratory.
2004 – 2008 The University of Edinburgh: BSc(Hons) Biotechnology. Class 2:1. Conducted a 4-month long research project on the cloning of Magnetosome genes in Magnetotactic Bacteria.
1999 - 2004 The International School of Brussels: International Baccalaureate: 41 points awarded, Higher Level Chemistry, Higher Level Biology, Extended essay in Chemistry (graded A). Received a prize in Biology for outstanding potential and achievement.
As part of my MSc degree I have also attended a crash course in intellectual property and business start-up, hosted by GenecomBio. Furthermore I have taken part in a start-up simulator course during which I founded a lab-on-a-chip type company.
