Having worked in the field for 35+ years and recently achieving my B.Sc. degree allows for the unique perspective of knowing old technologies while incorporating new technologies for the completion of most projects in a timely and economically beneficial manner for the customer.

Mark Russell's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. Ottawa City Hall (Sussex Drive location) removal of oil storage tank, permit acquisition, excavation and disposal of contaminated soils, including testing.
    OC Transpo (St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa) excavation of contaminated soils, original takeoff (architect) allowed for material to remain below building, where my takeoff provided MOE and City of Ottawa with actual volumes of contaminated materials to be removed.
    Changes in the design for the fuel delivery location at the back side of the OC Transpo garage (St. Laurent, Ottawa).
    Determined leakage in fuel storage tanks at OC Transpo garage (Queensview Dr., Ottawa, location)
    Involved with changes in the standards of septic design that are now accepted within Ontario.
    Involved with implementing weight calculations for overland transport of petroleum based on temperature and density to vehicle GVW.
