-I have to do a lot of creative thinking in my classes on how to deliver content to my students.
- I develop my lab reports in order to encourage students to do research for their answers to lab questions.
- I have worked with a publisher's IT developers on a new approach to animations and graphics on their website for a microbiology book
- I work with my college's IT department in brainstorming new ways to train instructors on how to use our course management software (Blackboard).
- I work with the IT department to beta test new programs that will help our instructors present their material to students in new formats

- Science is a general term and covers most of what I checked. My skill is the ability to look at problems "outside the box"
Mary Puglia's Problem Solving Experience:
- - I worked on a team that put together curriculum for a general biology class and aligned this curriculum to the National Science Outcomes. This was done for a private college who contracted for this service.
- I developed “A Summary Overview” of all the figures, micrographs and tables in the 8th edition of an anatomy and physiology textbook for a publisher who wanted to line up learning outcomes with the chapters of a textbook.
-I participated in the development of a Mastering Microbiology website
-I recently completed authoring the Instructors Manual for the 9th edition of an Anatomy and Physiology textbook.
- I served on the planning committee for a publisher's new Environmental Science textbook with an emphasis on new ways to present the content to students.
