Problem Solver

Nathaniel Abrams

I work day and night on problems that are presented to me and have been responsible for some very innovative designs and solutions. I look forward to working on your needs.

Areas Nathaniel Abrams is Knowledgeable in:

product conceptualization, machine design, thermodynamics, aircraft structural design, product design

Techniques Nathaniel Abrams Uses:

brainstorming, trial and error (with physical prototypes),

Nathaniel Abrams's Problem Solving Skills:

  1. preliminary engineering design
  2. consumer product design
  3. product development
  4. product conceptualization
  5. mechanical/ machine design
  6. thermodynamics

Nathaniel Abrams's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I and a partner were tasked with the design of a thermo-mechanical test fixture as a Senior Design project. I developed the mechanical load system and structure for the device as well as creating the engineering drawings and a large part of the engineering documentation. My design work resulted in a device made of structural steel that could apply a 1500 pound load to a test piece. Power came from a scavenged drill motor which was controlled by a custom designed control panel.
  2. I have created solutions to aid manufacturablilty in an industrial setting. Specifically, I have created design changes and improvements that have removed cost in terms of both money and time from the assembly of large aircraft, by using improved methods of assembly, and helping to coordinate changes in assmbly procedure.
  3. I have been involved in several large aircraft modification programs as a design engineer. My primary functions have included modification of primary and secondary structure, and installation and modification of aircraft systems. I have been directly responsible for re-routing major aircraft systems to accomodate struture and system components for large electronics installations that were also part of my design responsibility.
  4. I have privately developed several devices for the consumer market. I have taken raw ideas and developed them into viable products, including engineering design for mechanical and electrical systems, and system architecture creation. These devices range from very simple to complex systems.
