Peter Blue's Problem Solving Experience:
- Was involved in various software / hardware projects used by the British forces during the 1991 Gulf War.
- Writing the software to control a 3D laser scanner via a TCP/IP network using Visual Basic 6 on Windows.
- Created a voice pitch-changer many years before they were commercially available.
- Wrote software to convert the raw hight-map data from a CyberWare 3D laser scanner into a 3D image format usable in CGI software.
- Created a system that allowed people in pubs & clubs to send text messages to a huge screen from their mobile phones (a bit like a chat-room). This used a GSM terminal and special software running on a MS-DOS box.
- Have been involved in small Internet start-ups (eg RareList , British Women Artists). My job was to create the code and databases from scratch, integrate them with PayPal and make the sites popular on the search engines with minimal marketing budget. I used Linux, PHP, MySQL and Apache Web server.
- Have created PCs that are totally silent and consume a fraction of the energy a normal PC would - about 15Watts.
