Dual purpose nanocarrier design for the encapsulation of the drug as well as contrast agents for MRI is major hurdle. These particles has to be biocompatible, nontoxic as well as nano sized. I was involved in designing and making these kinds of particles.
I did the synthesis of isotopically labeled biopolymers like peptides and lipids in most cost effective and efficient way. Further characterization done by me on these particles, in biomimetic environment, gave insight on how molecules interact and how membrane fusion works.

I designed the new plug and play coil set up for the measurements of the small joints of animals without even moving them during the whole scanning procedure.
I designed the new set up of the biomimetic lipid bilayer. This can be used for the screening of the biomolecules and drug molecules in lipid environment using solid state NMR and other analytical Technics.
I am involved in a setup of current novel drug trail based on siRNA. I designed the whole study as well as the model set up for it. The actual experiments are carried out by me, studying the therapeutic efficiency of these new drug molecules, siRNA, in rheumatoid arthritis using MRI
