Ravi Kummamuru's Problem Solving Experience:
- I significantly increased device yield of nano-electronic devices enabling much more complex devices to be fabricated and tested by me, and my demonstration of a single electron short-term memory device (Latch).
- I prepared epitaxial thin films of chromium of very high quality, which enabled my discoveries of interesting features of the chromium spin density wave antiferromagnetism through resistivity and magnetoresistance measurements.
- I developed techniques for extending nano-calorimetry measurements up to 850oC and to measure interfacial reaction energies for solid state thin films for the first time, in a clean experiment.
- I have developed a solar thermal energy technology which is a new design combined with existing systems in such a way as to achieve the high efficiency of one technology at the low cost of another.
