B. S., Chemistry, Notre Dame, 1966. Ph. D., Chemistry (chemical physics - critical phenomena, molecular quantum mechanics, and quantum scattering theory of molecules), Caltech, Aug. 1971 (awarded June 1972). Postdocs at Berkeley (1971-2), Yale (1974-5), and Los Alamos Labs (1975-7), and interim teaching/research appt. at Yale (1972-4). Sabbatical research at CSIRO, Canberra (1991), Carnegie Institution at Stanford (1992), and Montpellier, France (1999-2000). Collaborations with researchers in/from France, Australia, Germany, Greece, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Israel. On-the-job experience in teaching (> 25 years), grant and project management, Web programming, financial planning (mostly from working with my wife, Dr. Lou Ellen Kay, in founding a new private school), scientific communication (publication, presentation, conference organization).
