For 9 years I worked as a geriatric nurses aide. You can surprise yourself with the things you can improvise. Whether its something that doesn't work or work in a certain situation I have fixed everything from wheelchairs to toilet seats. After that I was given the opportunity to work with a group of genealogists. I found that a wrong date or name can throw the whole book off. I was then asked to work with a new author and help get his book ready for publication. That not only included proofreading and reviewing. It also included things like choosing a book cover. I have not had a wide selection of jobs. But I know that the work that I have done was important to those I helped.
