- Winner for the InnoCentive challenge entitled "Novel Treatment of Water to Remove Salt and Boron." I developed a non-reverse-osmosis method to efficiently remove salt, boron, and organic materials from industrially produced water. - Winner for the InnoCentive challenge entitled "AstraZeneca Challenge: Retrievable Device for Islet Transplantation." I developed an implant design that holds promise as another step forward toward the treatment of type II diabetes.
