I am very methodical and tend to approach problems by listing exactly where the start & end points are as well as as much relevant information as possible before trying to bridge the gaps. I am good at breaking problems down into smaller, single-step issues and building large solutions up like a jigsaw puzzle.

Helen Marks's Problem Solving Experience:
- I am coming to the end of a PhD project during which I have contributed original knowledge to the scientific community on protein-protein interactions in prostate cancer. I have also during that time on several occasions had to research and design protocols to solve specific problems such as refining biochemical methods, or worked around not having specific reagents available by researching and utilising alternatives e.g. combining two protease inhibitors in order to recreate the action of another.
