I generally attack problems from a common sense direction first looking for the path of least resistance. I determine the most important requirements and work from there. I try to relate potential solutions from experience often able to make connections between unrelated industries, or concepts to create solutions that are not common. Brainstorming has frequently been employed. I tap a vast network or connections from many industries for input. I use math, geometry, internet research, stream of consciousness, computer aided design, software, model building, sketching, etc. when coming up with ideas.

- I developed a program to increase response rate in warranty registration that increased rate from 10% to 30% and resulted in over 1M in added profits.
- Created numerous solutions to structural, design, and usability problems in new construction and remodeling applications including most recently the removal of a bearing wall while maintaining clearance for minimum height. Numerous contractors have seen what I did and no-one had seen it done before.
