Jeff MacCubbin's Problem Solving Experience:
- I designed and implemented robust optical LED assemblies that are used in harsh environments for monitoring security features in a biometric application ranging from airports to military bases. Hundreds of thousands of these are currently in use worldwide.
- I conceptualized and designed Optical Channel Performance Monitors that now monitor over 70% of the internet traffic worldwide in the L and C bands of optical communication channels. Over 50 thousand of these devices are currently in use worldwide.
- I designed a robust seismic detector (hydrophone) to be used in shallow water environments to withstand excessive shocks from seismic blasts. Thousands of these have been deployed since the late 1980's.
