- When kids are struggling academically, instead of teaching them again and again the same way-- I take their specific interests and talents and then use the base level of what they do understand or know and pull together that basic general knowledge + their specific abilities and then I am able to create this unique solution to what they can't understand because what once seemed completely impossible now seems so familiar and relatable.
