Techniques Jerry Johnson Uses:
Medical Terminology Expert and liaison between the Hospital, outpatient clinicians, and the Technology Department. I provided ongoing support for the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) software applications. Based on customer input I made recommended changes to support the electronic medical record initiative.
• Courses taught nursing:
1. Various insurance plans, their significance, and how insurance regulations policies and directives were applied to the heath care setting. Specific types of insurance addressed included: Medicare, Medicaid, PPOs, HMOs, POs, EPOs, self-insured, and medical savings plan.
2. Charting and the legal and ethical aspects concerning charting that recorded not only the type of care provided but how correct charting supported third party reimbursement.

• Instructed students in hands-on patient care and ensured a wide range of learning opportunities in health principles, practices, and processes including physical and emotional observation and assessment.

- I am a Registered Nurse: skilled in providing skilled care on Medical-Surgical telemetry units. Skilled in Emergency Room high-tech medical devices.
I have taught all courses required of nursing. Students have achieved a 93.75% rate on the Practical Nursing NCLEX, as compared to the Florida average of 88.67% and a national average of 88.30%.
• Performed professional nursing duties in the care of patients requiring emergency treatment
1. acute myocardial infarction;
2. head injury,
3. respiratory arrest,
4. stroke, and sever injury.
On several occasions I recognized and intervened for patients experiencing lethal arrhythmias and potentially fatal allergic reactions. Using sound scientific reasoning, and my emergency room experience and training I was able to employ independent judgment on the correct course of action to save lives.
