Areas Joe Higgs is Knowledgeable in:

I am particularly interested and informed with regard to teaching and learning. While most of my knowledge and experience are directly related to formal education systems, these skills are directly transferable to a full range of other professions. I am also highly informed in the areas of education and development policy, poverty, and its causes, and have a passion and interest for developing solutions to these issues.

Techniques Joe Higgs Uses:

I like to develop the best picture possible of a problem and its root causes before proposing any solutions. This means talking to people, analyzing data, and applying a range of other diagnostic approaches to produce a brief report on the problem before beginning to look at solutions. I prefer to work with others to map out strategies to solve problems following this as more heads are certainly better than one. However, I am capable of devising a strategy independently if need be. Ongoing monitoring practices are fundamental to project success following proposed improvement strategies.
