I use research to find all the pros and cons of any project. Next I sketch out a design the will solve the problem at hand. I then take these drawings and refine it with drafting instruments. Some times I have to repeat steps 2 and 3. Usually I construct a prototype then move back to drafting for more detail. Finally I either hire an expert to assist in building of the actual device.
